We have had a very busy and stressful month as the court cases were not in our favour. The land court case was, once again, postponed and moved to next year, and so we continue to remain evicted from our land and new buildings. The court case for our rented house was ruled against us and we are to be evicted but have not heard the judges final ruling as to how many months he will give us for the eviction. In the mean time, we have started to clean out and down size in preparation for the move, albeit temporary, until we get our land and buildings back.
Little Charles celebrated his 1st birthday on the 7th. We have decided not to take in any more babies in the next few months until we know where we are going to be living. We are excited to have some of our babies going into foster care this December and their new families are starting to visit them so they can get acquainted. Jacob will be going for adoption and Jasmin is returning to her biological mommy and granny. We are hoping to place a further 4 babies into foster families this month. These are all national adoptions as the international adoptions are not open at this time.
One of our past babies, Rachel, who remained in Bulembu when we moved out, made connection with us again, and as she has no known family, asked to return home to us. Robyn fetched her from Piggs Peak on the 27th and our numbers, once again have increased. Keturah is so happy to have her new sister, Rachel who is just 3 years older than her, here to stay as she has always felt in the middle and a little left out with our older kids being much older than her and then having all the babies in the home.
Then on the 29th, our miracle babies, Peter and John, celebrated their 2nd birthday. We can only say “thank you Lord” for their lives and the miracle of their survival when all odds were against them. John is an active toddler, constantly running and climbing on everything. He is definitely the dominant twin and likes to be in charge. Peter is behind in his milestones but is catching up fast. He is now ‘bum-hopping’ to get around and is fast in the walking ring. He is the talker and likes to have his voice heard. They will continue to remain with us for a further year.
Sam and Cade returned home on the 30th, after 6 weeks at Dominique’s house helping her with her horse field fences. Keturah completed her Form 4 year and has passed to Form 5 (year 12) with fairly good marks, and winning the English literature prize for Form 4. Next year will be her final year at school and she is hoping to join the police force the following year.

Our words cannot express our gratitude to everyone who supports us, who prays for us and encourages us to keep on going. We are extremely grateful to everyone and appreciate all that everyone does to assist us with the running of the ABC baby home. Without you, we cannot survive. THANK YOU!

- Give thanks for the Lord’s provision and for the amazing donations we have received these past few months and for enough finances and support for the continual running of the baby home.
- Please continue to pray for ABC’s land situation and that it can be resolved quickly so that we can move to the new baby home.
- Give thanks for the foster care program that has opened up and for our babies’ new ‘forever’ families.
- Please give thanks to God for all that He is doing in ABC!
