New baby Sandy<\/sup><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Well it has been another busy month for us as our numbers increased once again. Baby Sandy arrived on the 5th, just a few hours old, putting our numbers up to 14. Sandy needed immediate removal from her mother who is unable to care for her and there are no other family members who can take care of her. She is a healthy and contented baby.
Sam left for a 3 day church seminar in Jo\u2019burg, leaving Cade with us full time. It was a busy 3 days for us, as he slept in our room and kept waking up asking for his daddy. We were so happy to have Sam back again and that Cade could return to his own bedroom with his dad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On the 16th, we met with a friend who said that he was willing to help us with our land eviction problem and we were so encouraged by this meeting and felt a lot more positive about it all after the meeting. We are so grateful for friends who are willing to come alongside us and assist us in this mammoth task that God has called us to. We know that we cannot give ABC up as these babies are so desperately in need of our love and care. We are always so thankful to God who sends us the right people at the right time to help us, encourage us and and assist us with ABC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The court case on the 22nd, concerning the present house that we are living in and renting, was moved to the 7 October. We look at these babies and realise that most of them are so unwanted and it just breaks our hearts. We have to make a safe place for them to live, loving on them and giving them a chance at better life and a hope for their futures, while they are in our care.<\/p>\n\n\n

Cade with his birthday cake<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

On the 27th, Cade celebrated his 3rd birthday. Keturah made him a lovely birthday cake and he enjoyed blowing out the candles which we had to keep lighting for him to blow. He is a lively, inquisitive and extremely talkative little boy. He wants to know \u2018why\u2019 about everything and can speak fluently in both English and siSwati. His favorite song which he just loves to sing is \u201cTo God be the glory\u201d Cade with his birthday cake With some of our past babies, who have grown up and completed their schooling and asking to return to us, we have been thinking about building rooms for them on our extra piece of land that we were given, next to the new ABC home. This will enable them to have a home that they can always come to. When a baby is abandoned they lose their birth right, their identity, their family and their homes, so it is important for them to have a place that they can call ‘home\u2019 and belong to. They still see us as their parents, so when they outgrow the orphanages, they want to return to us and ABC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of September, we saw 2 severe hail storms and some very cold weather again. Our summer rains have started and this house we are in, flooded badly as the roof is deteriorating fast and causing a lot of leakage. For us, it is all about trusting God daily and doing what He has called us to do, focusing on the babies who need us at this time. God is in control, even in these difficult situations. Daily, we remind each other that this is His work and His will, will be done! We cannot give up<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Prayer Requests:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Give thanks for the Lord\u2019s provision for the running of the baby home and enough finances and provisions for us to continue running the home.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Please pray for ABC\u2019s favour in the court cases coming up and that our land situation can be resolved as we need to continue building the new baby home, which is so desperately needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Please pray with us about our babies who are grown up and need a place to call their home.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Please give thanks to God for all that He is doing in ABC!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    W<\/strong>e are extremely grateful to everyone who assists us with finances which allows us to continue to pay the staff, the rent for this house and all other necessities needed to run the baby home. Our words cannot express our gratitude to everyone who supports us, who prays for us and encourages us to keep on going. We are extremely grateful to everyone and appreciate all that everyone does to assist us with the running of the ABC baby home. Without you, we cannot survive. THANK YOU!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n
