Dear friends,

Well, December is here and the end of 2014 draws close. We have had a successful year and God has been so faithful in supplying all our needs. Our Christmas celebrations started with Keturah’s pre-school graduation ceremony on the 27 November. She is so excited to start Grade 1 next year. It was followed by the Sunday school Nativity play in which she played one of the angels.

The kids are all on school break for 2 months now. We had some disappointments as Kevin and Kitty have failed their standards and will have to repeat again next year. Jose came 5th in his class, Lozi came 3rd in her class and Collin came 1st in his class. All our teenagers were in the Christmas Youth Group play and did really well.

Dear friends,

I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. Less than 2 months left to Christmas already. The children are all preparing for their end of year exams which start next month. Dominique has also been studying hard and has just written her first 2 exams this week. Sam and Josh have completed their 2nd year at Bible College and have done really well. We fetch them home for a 3 month break on the 1st November.

We are still working on and waiting for the loan from the bank for the house and we ask for URGENT prayers so that we can find a way to get the balance of the money in for buying this house. We had the house evaluated and have realised how God has blessed us by allowing us to be given the house for half the evaluated amount. We are trusting in God to work it all out and know that He is in control. Dominique has also managed to get our books all up to date, as the bank required a 12 month financial report for the loan.

Dear friends,

Once again we watch Spring come in and we watch the lawn turn green and buds sprouting on the trees. Things are going really well and we praise God for what He is doing in our lives. As long as we hold onto Him, we can make it through all the storms of life.

Robyn had ‘flu for the 3rd time this winter and dosed herself up with plenty of Vitamin C and cups of honey, cinnamon Bush tea and is feeling much better. She also managed to dislocate her little finger by trying to catch a drawer which dropped out of the baby cupboard. Her right hand, little finger is now splinted and bandaged up.

We had 2 teams visit us this last month and we were really encouraged to be able to share our vision with them. They all enjoyed hearing the ABC story and holding the babies. Gerry spent a few days driving the one team around and enjoyed working with them on a rural school project. We also had a local school group pay us a visit and the young students, of between 10 and 12 years old, were really inspired by our story. They also brought us many donations which they had collected, including baby milk and disposable diapers.

Dear friends,

We have has so much happening over the past 2 months that we have missed the May issue and now have combined it with June. Aunty Dudu was on leave until middle of May and then Aunty Tema took her leave for the rest of May and into the first half of June. On the 6th through to 8th May, the older kids went to our church youth camp. They had a really good time and renewed their walk with the Lord coming back fired up for Jesus and to do His will in their lives.

Gerry and Robyn took a well-earned break for 4 days from the 8 May, and headed down to Ballito by the sea, on the north coast of KZN, to attend a good friend’s wedding on the 10th. Dominique came and stayed in the home while we were away and made sure that everything ran smoothly. We stayed at a self-catering accommodation, Villa Jaime, and were really blessed by the owner who moved us up into her penthouse suite for no extra charge. We walked on the beach, slept, read books and generally relaxed in each other’s company with no kids to interrupt us every 5 minutes! It was a lovely time together. We got back home just in time to settle all the kids back into their 2nd term at school on the 12 May.
