Well, here we are well into the new year already. 2018 has started off well with us bringing in a set of new born, twin girls, Bella and Betty. They needed special care and we were asked, by the doctors at the Mbabane Government Hospital, to help with them. The twins were born 1 month premature and are very small but we were willing to help with them, to save their lives. We are both getting back into the night shift routine again. Having 2 special care, new borns who need feeding every 2 hours, is very interesting. We take turns at sleeping, so it hasn’t been as bad as we thought it would be.
Chris left us, on the 4th January, to return to Uni-college in Joburg to complete his final year in an IT diploma, this year, so we won’t see him again until June. The new school year started on the 23 January and Lozi and Keturah have settled back into their school routines. Lozi spent a lot of her time during the holidays studying and she continues to work hard as she knows that this is an opportunity that she cannot pass up and she has to make it work for her to realise her dreams of becoming a nurse. Joshua has enrolled in a university to study part time music this year.
He continues to teach music at the Montessouri primary school and loves every moment of it. Andrew is now home full time and working at the Ngwenya Glass Factory up the road from us, while he waits for his final results to come in. Sam is presently working for ABC Ministry as he looks for a permanent job in mechanics and driving. José is still on holiday until the 6th February and will do his final year Diploma in Theology, at Joy Mission this year.
Aunty Treasure is on leave for the month of January. The staff continue to work well and the stealing in the home has stopped. Aunty Fezile has recovered well from her minor operation she had last year and her health is greatly improved. Aunty Tema’s pregnancy has gone very well this time and her baby girl is due at the end of February. It is such a blessing to have the staff finally working well together and to see how they are growing in the Lord and taking their job, of raising our special babies, so seriously.
The 3rd of January saw us celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary. Luke celebrated his birthday on the 18th and we had a lovely meal with him and Florence. It is hard to believe that our firstborn child has just turned 41 years old but we are really proud of him and the wonderful man that he is.
Gerry continues working hard at doing all the repairs and extra little jobs that need doing around the house, e.g. plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc. it keeps him busy and out of mischief. Robyn has been kept very busy with the new twins as well as keeping up with all her other things that she does to make ABC the success that it is. Our little grandson, Judah, has recovered well from the burns he sustained to his neck and shoulder, in December. We are grateful to all who took the time to pray for him, as your prayers have been answered. Thank you. We are so grateful to all of you who continue to pray for us, support us in any way and encourage us to continue in this mammoth task that God has called us to. Please continue
God bless you all,
Gerry and Robyn
