We thank God for this new home and for all that He is doing in our lives and in the lives of our babies and staff. We have now been here for 3 months and we are feeling very relaxed. With only a few babies to care for and less staff in the home, we feel as though we are on holiday.
On the 2nd we met with the Attorney General about the land issue together with the secretary and advisor for our acting chief and also our lawyer representative. It was a positive meeting and we were informed as to what needs to be done to help the situation move forward in our favour. We continue to also trust God to help work it all out for our good and for the plans and purposes that He has for the future of the baby home.

Gerry celebrated his 76th birthday on the 3rd, and we are grateful to the Lord for giving him a healthy life, although his hearing is not as it used to be. This month we also celebrated Lozi’s birthday on the 13th, Dominique’s on the 14th and Sam’s on the 30th.
Cade and Azande have settled nicely into pre-school and love going to school. Keturah is working and studying hard at school as this is her final year of high school. Rachel is enjoying her internship with the Royal Rangers and is studying photography on line.
On the 9th, little Leon joined our ABC family. He was in need of urgent placement as his mommy needed to return to complete her final year of high school. She is a vulnerable orphan and desperately needed help from someone care for him. He is a happy little 3 month old. He will return to his mommy at the end of the year when she completes her final exams.
Gareth has now mastered the art of walking and is running everywhere, keeping us on our toes. Peter has learned to ride his little push bike and is so proud of himself for this achievement. He no longer struggles with breathing and is developing well. His twin, John, is very active and is all over the place all at once and has to be constantly watched because he gets into much mischief. Little Sandy is now 6 months old and can sit on her own and push herself around in the walker. She is a little charmer and smiles at everyone and everything. Alisha is talking a lot and loves to sing “Happy birthday” to everyone.

We were blessed, on the 13th, with a surprise visit from Miss Ruth Boys, from the UK, who worked with us when we lived in Bulembu, many years ago. She came to our home with Cat Howe, who was also a teacher in Bulembu back in the days when our now big boys were young at school. It was so lovely to see them both and to catch up with them. It really made our day so special.
s you are all aware, we rely totally on donations to survive and to run this baby home, as we get no assistance from our Swaziland government. We have struggled financially this month and as a result, were unable to pay the house rent on time for March. This was a huge concern for us as we had always been able to pay the rent on time over the last 14 years. Then someone heard about it and stepped in and paid, not just our rent, but also our water bill. We were amazed and so relieved, as we learn to trust God more in this work. Thank you so much to Mr Ashraff, for such a generous gift to the baby home.
Thank you also to everyone who helps us to care for these precious babies. Without you all we would not be able to function. We appreciate you all. THANK YOU for praying, helping and supporting us at ABC.
PRAYER Requests:
• Please pray for enough finances to run the baby home: salary money for the staff, rent, electricity, water and for our daily needs to be met.
• Please continue to pray for ABC’s land situation and the upcoming court day on 18 May and for it to be granted in our favour to allow us to continue building and move to our new and permanent baby home
• Please continue to lift us and our staff up in prayer as we care for these babies, for our health and for strength to keep on keeping on.
• Please give thanks to God for all that He is doing in and through ABC!
