Peter is growing and developing nicely but still has to be 24/7 on oxygen to breathe. We are so grateful to the ROCKING HORSE PROJECT for the loan of an oxygen concentrator which produces oxygen from the air around us, which we use for Peter during the day. We also want to thank AFROX, ESWATINI, for the donation of medical oxygen tanks to supply him with oxygen during the night time.

We celebrated 3 birthdays this month with Jacob turning 1 year old on the 10th. He took his first steps one week before his birthday. Elias had his birthday on the 18th and turned 2 years old.

Destiny celebrated her 1st birthday on the 26th. Destiny had her appointment with her OT at the clubfoot clinic and had to be fitted with new leather boots. Her OT is very happy with her development and Destiny is crawling everywhere and almost walking on her own.

The 3rd saw us welcoming another set of premature twins, a boy and a girl, into our home. They were 6 weeks old and in need of special care. We named them Timmy and Reese. They were very small and hadn’t gained much weight since their birth on the 22 February. They are now gaining weight and have recovered nicely. We also said ‘goodbye’ to 3 of our babies on the 30th, the twins, Julee & Jeremy, and also Elias, who have all been moved to the same permanent Residential Child Care Facility (RCCF).

Aunty Philile joined our team this month and has a 2 month old baby daughter, Philiswa, whom we are also sponsoring with baby milk formula as Philile is unable to breastfeed. Aunty Tema started her annual leave on the 5th and Aunty Alice started her annual leave on the 21st this month. This month, Aunty Fezile received her 10 years service to ABC certificate. Thank you to her for her dedication and love to our babies for all these years.

Work still continues on the staff house to complete it. The builders have now dug and built the foundations for Gerry’s workshop and also for Phase 3 – the baby house. The main house is going up fast and all the walls are built up to the windows level. It is so exciting to watch the project grow daily and to know that soon we will be in our own place and have a permanent safe place to rescue the babies in need.

Schools broke up on the 18th for the Easter Holidays and the end of 1st term. They will return back to school on the 14 May. School fees for our 5 staff children in high school will need to be paid for the 2nd term by the 18th May.

Sam attended our church men’s fellowship camp on the 19th and came home very sick. He spent 2 days in bed but did not recover well, so we took him to the clinic where he was found to have a Bronchial Chest infection and his blood pressure had dropped so low that the doctor said that he would have died in his sleep that night if he had not come in when he did. He was put onto a drip and given a strong antibiotic and he slowly recovered. He is fine now and back at work.

After struggling to repair the Toyota Camry, which broke down 6 months ago, we have made the decision to sell it, as
is, to the first buyer willing to take it off our hands. Gerry has been unable to find the fault which is causing the engine
to turn over but not start. It has served us well over the last 9 years but is now costing us a lot to maintain.

Prayer Requests: Nothing changes without prayer!

Please give thanks to the Lord for His continual provision for the baby home and for the strength for all of us to:
keep on, keeping on.
We are extremely grateful to everyone and appreciate all that everyone does to assist us with the running of the ABC
baby home.

Give thanks for the funding coming in for the ABC building fund and prayers for enough funding for us to complete
the project. Prayers for safety for the guys working on the baby home construction.

Continued prayers for baby Peter, that his damaged lung will be restored so that he will be able to breathe
without the oxygen assistance.

Please pray for our babies going into foster care, and other RCCFs, that the correct homes will be found for them at
the correct time.

Well, another month, as this year seems to whizz by.
