Precious Additions
And now we are up to 8 babies in the home! On the 4th, we received a desperate call from a hospital about a newborn baby girl who had been found abandoned in a forest. At first, we said “NO” because we were already so full, but our aunties all insisted. Robyn called back and said a joyful “YES”!
Unfortunately, with our space severely limited, we had to say “NO” to another abandoned baby the very next week as we are well over our capacity. We have heard that the few other baby homes in our country are now closing down, and very few are taking in babies at this time. This highlights just how desperately we need our new buildings so we can house up to 20 babies at a time.
Aunty Alice returned from her leave on the 8th, and we have officially brought Aunty Emmelinah back permanently to help us manage the extra little ones. Meanwhile, our schools opened on the 5th, and Keturah is now hard at work in her second term of her final year at school!
Healing and New Leadership
On the 4th, Lozi arrived back at ABC with little Jasmin. Jasmin had to be removed from her mother’s care due to neglect and had not been treated well. Lozi is now caring for her permanently with our full support.
Robyn is also training Lozi to take over from her and has given her the title of Assistant Manager. However, Lozi’s most important job right now is bringing healing to little Jasmin, who has been struggling to recover from what she endured over the last four months away from ABC. By the end of the month, we were already seeing a massive, wonderful change in Jasmin: she is more relaxed, gaining weight again, and no longer screaming and tantrumming in fear.

Celebrations and Milestones
On the 13th, Robyn celebrated her birthday! The boys, Josh and José, surprised her with a small party in the afternoon, and later she was wonderfully spoilt with a dinner out courtesy of Luke and Florence.
On a bittersweet note, Rachel informed us on the 29th that she was moving out to live with a friend. While we were a little sad to see her go, she needs to step out and decide what is best for her life. She is still very much a part of our extended family and is free to visit us whenever she wants.
The Land and Our Trust in God
On the 18th, we eagerly awaited word from our lawyer regarding our court case. By the 22nd, we were informed that both lawyers had actually forgotten the date and failed to pitch up, so the case has been postponed to a later date.
However, we were also informed that all of our paperwork is now with the Chief Justice and that the outlook is positive for us. And so the waiting continues—but we know our God is in control and able. This is His work, this is the land He gave us, and He knows the plans and purposes He has for this baby home. We rest in Him and trust Him completely.
Thank You
We stand amazed at God’s provision for the home this month. What an amazing abundance of blessings we have received! We deeply appreciate each and every one of you who helps us and encourages us to keep going. THANK YOU for praying, giving, and supporting us at ABC.
